Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family of musicians. Growing up she was influenced by Boleros, classical music and the classic romantic, ranchero and romance ballads. Ana is a lover of tangos and opera, along with the dramatic shows that she attends. Ana began learning to sing and play music from an early age, along together with her mom. The formal vocal training when she reached the age of 16 old, under the legendary Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. At the School of Music of Guadalajara University and the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico furthered her education in music. In Guadalajara and Mexico City, she was a member of many opera ensembles as well as chamber groups. She was a member of the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to Southern California. She currently is a part of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and is a frequent solo performer of traditional Latin American music at private events. She is involved with many local initiatives and is a teacher and performer, because of her enthusiasm for music and arts. Ana has also been a former member of Community Chorus of Redlands as in addition to The Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana is hoping that, by sharing her knowledge songs from Latin American traditional songs, that she can inspire a love, especially for the young generation to keep this tradition in the present.
